A.S. Noskov, born 23.07.1953, is a professor, an expert in the engineering aspects of the environment, high-volume petroleum refining and catalyst production processes, numerical simulation of catalytic reactors, and an author and co-author of more than 750 scholarly works, including 350 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 5 chapters in treatises and 180 patents in Russia and abroad.
A.S. Noskov is currently deputy director of the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of RAS Federal Research Centre (e-mail: noskov@catalysis.ru).
The methods developed by A.S. Noskov for numerical simulation and computational fluid dynamics were used in the Urban Ecology of Siberia regional technological innovation programme, which he ran and which culminated in a facility to manufacture catalytic gas treatment units and the supply of such units to more than 10 enterprises in the cities of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk and Biysk.
A.S. Noskov currently provides scientific guidance for a petroleum refining catalyst manufacture project as part of Russia's major catalyst factory in the city of Omsk, scheduled to come on stream in 2022-2023.
A.S. Noskov set up a department called “Ecological Engineering” at the Novosibirsk State Polytechnic, which he headed between 1998 and 2006 and where he serves as a professor.
