Abstract
There are developed the method and the apparatus for separation of biogas produced in digesters of treatment facilities. As a result of separation, methane and carbon dioxide of nutritional value are obtained. Separation of biogas is carried out in the absorption-desorption unit by chemisorption with monoethanolamine solution. Further purification and deodorization of carbon dioxide is carried out in vortex mass-transfer devices under their serial irrigation by activated sludge solutions and strong oxidizing agents.

Abstract
Burnt aluminum salt slags is shown to be advisable to use as leaner for production of ceramic bricks. The obtained ceramic bricks containing 40% of industrial waste comply with the requirements of GOST 5309-2007. Utilization of burnt aluminum salt slags promotes recycling of industrial waste, protection of environment, and expansion of resource base for ceramic materials production.

Abstract
It is proposed the aggregate for circulating water cooling equipped by a vortex chamber. The efficiency of the aggregate is assessed. The calculations revealed that the process parameters can be adjusted in order to prevent freezing of liquid droplets in the chamber when working during winter period.

THEME OF THE ISSUE: Neutralization and Recycling of Oil Sludge

14-17 426
Abstract
It is considered one of the methods of neutralization and recycling of toxic oily wastes i.e. chemical method. The data of long-term studies to create national waste-free technology and novel technological solutions for toxic sludge handling, their neutralization and recycling for enterprises of Russia's oil-and-gas sector are presented. The results of process optimization and working out of neutralization agent composition are presented as well. The technology has been tested in stationary and field conditions. All recommended solutions are experimentally confirmed at the objects of oil-and-gas sector.

Abstract
It is considered the effective trend of neutralization and recycling of oily waste using chemical technology resulted in production of valuable recycled raw material and asphalt-concrete on its base. The description of technology and equipment, which was tested in field and experimentalindustrial conditions, is given. The results of extensive investigations on production and application of activated mineral powder of toxic oil sludge are presented. The results of certification testing of oil-sludge recycling product and cutting tests of the top layer of asphalt-concrete coating on its base are presented.

SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS

24-28 407
Abstract
It is developed the novel composition of molding compounds for ultra-filtration membranes (the composition is protected by the patent). Ultra-filtration membranes on the base of a natural polymer i.e. secondary cellulose acetate modified by activated charcoal of coarse and fine fractions are produced. The filtration membranes obtained enable to extract whey proteins from secondary raw milk and can be used for purification of industrial sewage from high-molecular-weight organic compounds in order to reduce anthropogenic impact on the environment.

Abstract
Sugar beet pulp is the main part of the waste (85 – 90%) of sugar factories in Russia (about 22 – 24 million tons/year). Samples of sugar beet pulp obtained from various sugar mills are investigated. Selection of promising strains for canning sugar beet pulp and preparation of biological product based on the bacteria Bacillus subtilis for re-processing of sugar beet pulp into feed for cattle are carried out. Investigations on the effectiveness of pulp preservation using biologic product have showed the possibility of preserving valuable nutritional properties of raw materials for a period of 1 month.

Abstract
It is considered an additional environmental risk created by the system of oil products supply in the Irkutsk region. The areas with the highest environmental load are identified. The major impacts of this system on the environment are characterized.

ANALYSIS. METHODS. PROGNOSIS

Abstract
There are presented the results of studies assessing contribution to the greenhouse effect of two variants of manure utilization i.e. cattle-breeding complex, which is based on the traditional system of collection, storage and use of animal manure, and livestock complex, which is equipped by biogas manufacturing plants and mini-CHP to produce electricity and heat from biogas. The studies carried out have shown that using plants for biogas manufacture can reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 6 – 7 times and lower environmental payments.

Abstract
Smaller than 10 Microns from Traffic Flow on Urban Highways It is presented information on the sources of generation of aerosol particles smaller than 10 microns from traffic flow on urban highways and their migration in the atmosphere. The methods of assessment of aerosol particles generation from various sources and their spreading, along with measurement results are brought.

Abstract
It is considered the problem of chemical pollution of the environment by heavy metals on the territories adjacent to stationary sources of pollutants emission. The evaluation of the quality of territories by translocation index is carried out. An assessment of the role of antioxidants as a defense against stress is presented.

Abstract
Using combination of modern physical-chemical methods of investigation, it was analyzed the composition of one of waste products of an imported pigmented lacquer-paint material used in coloring of coiled metal. Experiments proved the efficiency of using self-consolidating oligoester phosphates for modification of waste products to produce undercoats of natural and hot consolidation.

Abstract
It is shown illegitimacy of the applied method of accounting background air pollution in the existing system of rationing emissions of pollutants into the air basin. On the basis of practical experience in the rationing emissions of pollutants, it is given the proposal for the procedure of accounting background that will enable to obtain reliable data on the allowable emissions standards ensuring the achievement of health standards for air quality in industrial areas of inhabited localities.

Abstract
Using Technical Detergents when Transporting, Processing and Storing Petroleum Products There are studied performances of various detergent compositions, and carried out a comparative analysis of their cleaning ability. The requirements of safety when using technical detergents are considered.

Abstract
It is presented the technique of controlling temperature fields in the gas-air environment in the vicinity of sources of heat radiation purposed to determine the optimal consumptions of various energy sources and to prevent boiler plants or individual units overheating. This technique enables to carry out continuous control of thermal processes. The technique of non-contact determination of the temperature shows that using gases as information environment enables by measurement of their concentration to determine the temperature of gas-air environment.
