Abstract

The current state of sewage treatment plants of a machine-building enterprise and the main problems in their operation are considered. A comprehensive reconstruction project has been proposed, including the replacement of mechanical gratings, sand traps, oil traps, and filtration equipment. It is shown that the implementation of the project will significantly improve the quality of wastewater treatment and reduce operating costs.

Abstract

The basic normative documents are considered, and the reasons of obstacles to the introduction of advanced methods of pipeline wave processes control are revealed. Amendments to the sections specifying requirements to pressure control devices are proposed. A physical model of a pipeline system with an integrated pressure wave monitoring system was developed to confirm the technical efficiency of the proposed method by conducting a series of experiments.

Abstract

A new method of synthesis of cathode materials based on complex oxides of transition metals and lithium of LiCo0.5Mn1.5O4 composition has been developed. A combined approach involving cobalt oxidation by air oxygen barbotage and manganese oxidation by potassium permanganate solution followed by evaporation and heat treatment is proposed. It is confirmed that the compounds ( LiCo0.5Mn1.5O4) obtained using this approach have high physical and chemical characteristics (particle size, specific surface area). The basic technological scheme of synthesis is presented. It is proposed to recycle and regenerate spent solutions and salts in order to return them to certain stages of the technological scheme, when obtaining the final product. It is noted that minimization of wastes, reuse of reagents, reduction of technogenic load on the environment makes the proposed technology more preferable from the ecological point of view.

Abstract

The advantage of nanomodified urea-formaldehyde binder for production of ecological plywood nanocomposite is shown. The influence of binder and plywood processing types on the formaldehyde content in the nanocomposite was established. The environmental friendliness of the nanocomposite was evaluated by the formaldehyde content of plywood. The effect of crystalline nanocellulose and multiwalled carbon nanotubes on the environmental characteristics of nanocomposite plywood was confirmed: the formaldehyde content in plywood on ureaformaldehyde binder modified with nanocrystalline cellulose was found to decrease by 62 % (from 19.9 to 7.6 mg); on binder modified with non-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes — by 60 % (from 19.9 to 7.9 mg). The emission class of the obtained nanocomposite plywood in each case was found to decrease from E2 to E1. It is concluded that the production of eco-plywood will significantly expand the use of the composite as a structural material.

Abstract

Methods of utilization of secondary products obtained in the production of refined vegetable oils are considered. The volumes of by-products formation at fatty acids production at one of the enterprises of Krasnodar region are estimated. The study results of the qualitative composition characteristics of the “lower” and “middle” layers formed by acid hydrolysis of soapstock are presented. The methods of manufacturing from the “lower layer” (acid wastewater) of fertilizers for tomatoes of Gusar variety in the conditions of Krasnodar region, and from the “middle layer” (unoxidized components of soapstock) — a lubricating component of drilling mud are proposed. The possibility of such application of secondary products of refined vegetable oil production was confirmed.

Abstract

The influence of pH of the medium on the residual concentration and degree of discoloration of model dye solutions under the action of polymeric organic and inorganic coagulants was investigated. The efficiency of coagulants application for water treatment processes is shown. The most promising reagent – decolorizing agent synthesized according to the method developed by the authors is established. The biotesting of the solution obtained after treatment with decolorizing agent of real wastewater of textile industries of Ivanovo region containing model dyes was carried out. It is concluded that the filtrate does not show acute lethal toxicity and is safe from the ecological point of view.

Abstract

Experiments on determination of efficiency and establishment of sufficient quantity of sorption materials Lesorb-Extra and SS-50 for removal of film oil pollution of water surface in laboratory conditions were carried out. The results allowing to estimate the reduction of oil absorption capacity of sorption materials with reduction of oil film thickness in the range of 0.001-0.0003 mm on distilled and mineralized water with simultaneous control of efficiency by COD were obtained.

Abstract

The method of water treatment of natural objects subjected to long-term oil pollution with the use of green microalgae Chlorella vulgaris Beijer is proposed. It is shown that introduction of Chlorella in concentration of 2.9×106 cl/mL leads to reduction of oil hydrocarbons concentration by 86.6–100 %, and increase of Chlorella concentration up to 6.3×106 cl/mL allows to reduce oil content by 94.5–100 % at initial concentration of 15.4–148 MAC. It was found that the introduction of Chlorella reduces the level of water toxicity by 1.1–35.9 times. It is concluded that the introduction of green microalgae Chlorella vulgaris Beijer provides purification of chronically polluted water with petroleum hydrocarbons to the values approaching to the normative ones (1.06–4.2 MAC) and also reduces the toxicity level to slightly toxic/non-toxic.

Abstract

The concept of "smart city" as a system with the concept of "smart construction" consisting of a set of interconnected elements contributing to a high standard of living with minimal impact on the environment is considered. Using ontological analysis, an ontological model of the capital facilities construction process is created, reflecting the links between the tasks, resources and technologies of "smart construction" at all stages of the life cycle (design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance). It is concluded that the ontological approach contributes to the creation of a structured knowledge architecture necessary for effective resource management, process optimization and improving the quality of life in cities.

Abstract

The current state of the system of specially protected natural areas (SPNAs) in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is considered. The necessity of preservation and restoration of the natural environment, awareness of the importance of ecological protection of nature, especially  in the conditions of economic globalization is emphasized. The data were processed and analyzed to determine the current state of the SPNA system in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The method of zoning of a 10-kilometer territory adjacent to SPNA of regional significance to determine the objects that may have a negative impact on the state of protected natural complexes is proposed.

Abstract

The impact of harmful gas emissions on climate change is analyzed and the relevance of actions to reduce them is assessed. The volumes of emissions of various harmful gases and particulate matter associated with the operation of ships of Novorossiysk port are established. The importance of reducing the ecological footprint of maritime transport is emphasized and the necessary measures to achieve this goal are proposed, including the transition to more efficient eco-engines, the use of alternative fuels and the development of regulations governing harmful emissions.
