Abstract

The work deals with the use of flotation combines for the treatment of waste water from heavy metals. The analysis of various methods of treatment of waste water from heavy metals was carried out, which revealed the most promising technical solutions with their possible implementation for modernization of existing treatment facilities of the enterprise. Experimental studies of several versions of technological schemes were carried out on the basis of which a technological scheme of waste water treatment was selected, including all positions of equipment existing at local treatment facilities, and supplemented with a reagent treatment unit, treatment in a flotation complex using reagents, application of filters and pH correction.

Abstract

The paper presents the accumulated experience in the construction and operation of gabions. The results of field surveys of gabions, their advantages and disadvantages, which must be taken into account in environmental practice, are presented. Innovative developments of sloping fasteners made of semi-cylindrical gabions and their construction technologies are presented. Variants of flexible retaining walls of semi-cylindrical gabions are proposed, with lower specific pressures on the soil of the base and enhanced bearing capacity on the action of bending moments. Experimental studies of prismatic and cylindrical gabion models have been carried out for a comparative assessment of their work.

Abstract

The results of studies on the thermal processing of synthetic multi-tonnage polymeric waste (polypropylene, polycarbonate, textolite, PET, organoplastics and tire rubber) with the production of carbon sorbents for technological and environmental purposes are presented. The influence of the nature of the activating agent and the conditions of the process with the production of sorbents with predetermined properties was studied. Analysis of the research results allowed us to establish that the main factors affecting the yield of carbonizate and the formation of a porous structure of carbon sorbents from synthetic polymer waste are the degree of aromaticity and the location of benzene rings in the polymer structure, the proportion of oxygen in the precursor. The criteria for selecting synthetic polymer wastes as raw materials for obtaining carbon sorbents with predetermined properties are established. The results of the research can be used in the development of technologies for obtaining carbon sorbents with predetermined properties from waste synthetic polymers and the selection of technological parameters for processes.

Abstract

The study of the processes of intensification of sludge dewatering at sludge sites of sewage treatment plants (WWTP) is presented. The parameters that determine the water yielding capacity of the compacted and excess activated sludge have been clarified. The process of cascadecyclic freezing – thawing of biological sediments has been investigated. The degree of influence of cryogenesis on the specific resistance of the sediment filtration and its water yielding has been determined. Dependences of the resistivity of precipitation on the content of ashless substance and freezing temperature have been established.

Abstract

Researches of burnt rocks of mine dumps of some mines of the Rostov region are carried out. The technological scheme of the existing complex for processing the rocks of the mine dump is considered. The quality indicators of crushed stone of various fractions and screenings of crushing from burnt rocks are given. The benefits of these placeholders are noted. Such aggregates are primarily suitable for road construction. Disposal of mine dump rocks will allow replenishing the construction industry with new building materials, freeing land from dumps, and improving the environmental situation in the waste disposal areas.

Abstract

Rational ways of treatment of fecal sludge (FS) from environmentally friendly toilet complexes of railway cars preserved with a biocidal agent (BA) based on quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC) and polyhexamethylene guanidine (PHMG) are considered. The bacteriostatic effect of BA on different groups (aerobic and anaerobic) of microorganisms in preserved FS was shown. An effective method for reducing the toxic effect of BA in FS by means of pretreatment with acid prior to microbiological processing has been proposed. The conditions for carrying out the process were selected, allowing to increase the efficiency of anaerobic fermentation of FS containing BA.

Abstract

The flow chart of the processes of lipid extraction from the biomass of the microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana is presented. The main equipment for the production of products from the biomass of the microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana was selected, and economic calculations were carried out, which made it possible to draw a conclusion about the amount of costs for the production of lipids from the dry biomass of the microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana. The obtained indicators allow us to consider the proposed biotechnology as cost effective.

Abstract

An overview of world experience in the development and implementation of emission monitoring systems for industrial enterprises, based on mathematical models is presented. The main problems of such systems have been analyzed, their advantages and disadvantages have been revealed. The authors have demonstrated that at Russian enterprises, the introduction of predictive emission monitoring systems was possible at the initial stages of transition to BAT as part of the digital technologies’ integration in production processes.

Abstract

Considered a proposal to combat global warming, which consists in placing the creation of information in near-earth space. It is shown that instead of a space solar power plant that transmits energy to terrestrial consumers, it is more profitable to organize an orbital territorial-production complex, in which a new information and communications energy production cycle is implemented: the energy received from the Sun is used on site to create and store valuable information, and instead of an unused technology of wireless energy transmission to Earth, using a well-functioning space communication technology. Using the simplest mathematical model, it was demonstrated that the profitability of orbital information must be considered taking into account the anthropogenic impact on the climate of ground data centers. The dependence of the profitability of an information orbital product in comparison with a ground-based analogue on the cost of emission quotas for waste heat and greenhouse gases is discussed.

Abstract

In article it is shown that in the analysis of conditions of environmental safety of the main oil pipelines (MOP) with use of methods of the stochastic theory of similarity, it is necessary to consider not only the MNP design-technology parameters, but also various chemical mass-exchanged processes, for example, corrosion (oxygen, sulphurous and chloric corrosion), influencing changes of structural elements in time and space. For these reasons, dependences between parametrical criteria of similarity and their communications with stochastic criteria of similarity are the basis for the developed model. Comparative analysis was carried out by results of a research more than 70 emergency situations, at transportation of oil through the main pipelines of 18 companies. In parameters of accidents criteria ratios between the factors affecting environmental safety of MNP are received. It is established that average specific intensity of accidents on routes of the sites of the oil pipeline equipped adjustable and unregulated nature protection to constructions and the equipment and also without them, correspond as 1:4.9:83.5. It is shown that a ratio of costs of compensation of ecological damage in case of accidents on routes of the same sites of the oil pipeline equipped adjustable and unregulated nature protection to constructions and the equipment and also without them approximately correspond as 1:1.9:7.5.

Abstract

An assessment of the impact of low-intensity laser irradiation (LILI) and magnetic field (MF) on the biodegradation of a number of industrial products: wood fiberboard (WFB) and polyester caused by filamentous fungi is presented. It has been established that the magnetic field is capable of causing intensive destruction of wood fiberboard and polyester by fungi Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus niger, then the destructive process of WFB in the case of Penicillium cyclopium remained at the control level, and in the case of polyester it slowed down. The action of LILI, on the contrary, increased the destructive activity of Penicillium cyclopium in variants with WFB, and for polyester in the fungi Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus niger. Differences in the change in the resistance of products to fungi under the action of LILI and MF can be associated with both the physiological and biochemical characteristics of fungi and the aging process of polymers under the influence of the studied physical factors.

Abstract

The impact of Moscow Domodedovo Airport wastewater on nearby surface water bodies, nameless streams which are tributaries of the Gnilusha and Muranikha rivers was investigated. Water quality was assessed by 16 indicators, the Specific Combinatorial Water Pollution Index (SCWPI) was also calculated. The quality degree of the studied reservoirs was determined.
