Comparative Assessment of Environmental Safety of Water Engineering Exemplified by Intended Hydraulic Engineering Structures on the Gulf of Finland

Abstract

It is presented the method, which enables to carry out rapid assessment of expected impact of the intended hydro-construction on the environment even at pre-project stage, when comparing options of location for future hydraulic engineering structures. Application of this method is demonstrated by the project of engineering preparation of land by means of drifting and stabilization of the territory in the vicinity of Sestroretsk City and Lisy Nos Peninsula (Gulf of Finland, St. Petersburg).
