Abstract

A high level of energy-efficient operation of structures can be achieved through automated life-support systems using secondary energy resources. Analysis of thermal emissions in residential buildings allows us to conclude that the most promising for this purpose are wastewater. The process of utilizing the heat of the used water resources entering the sewerage network can be carried out in two types of evaporative heat exchangers: surface and submerged. The increased area and increased heat transfer efficiency create the conditions for the preferable choice of a submersible type storage wastewater-freon heat exchanger. The design of the case of devices of this type allows to obtain a model range by the step change in its diameter. The calculations carried out for the case diameters of 300, 400, 500 mm have shown that at various water flows the best heat exchange parameters are achieved at a diameter of 300 mm, both under conditions of forced and natural convection.

Abstract

It is proposed to purify gas emissions of industrial enterprises by the adsorption method. As a sorption material, power industry waste is used — the cuttings for chemical treatment of water of water reclamation at Kazan CHPP-1, which is formed during coagulation and liming of natural water. The chemical composition of the cuttings, its technological characteristics, the isotherm of adsorption of hydrogen sulphide cuttings, its sorption capacity and water absorption are determined. The optimum characteristics of a batch adsorber with a fixed cuttings layer are calculated. The calculation of the economic and ecological effect of the modernization of the technological scheme for cleaning gas emissions from the hydrogen sulphide line produced by the thiocol OJSC "Kazan Plant of Synthetic Rubber" is given.

Abstract

Studies have been carried out to create a lanthanum-containing ceramic material that can be used to purify water from fluoride ions. A composition was developed for the preparation of a ceramic material, the physico-mechanical characteristics of its samples were determined, and their binding capacity to fluoride ions was investigated. There was researched environmental safety of a material. It is proved that when 6% by weight of lanthanum carbonate is added to the charge, an environmentally safe material for cleaning aqueous systems with a fluoride ion content of up to 10 mg/l can be obtained. It has been established that this material can be used with sufficient efficiency to purify water from phosphate ions.

Abstract

The data of eleven-year monitoring of soil and subsoil contamination by kerosene, heavy metals, formaldehyde and nitrates on the territory of the aviation-missile cluster are presented. The adjusted index of total contamination with priority contaminants of soils and subsoil of various functional zones of the cluster (aviation-missile, industrial, residential-transport, recreational) have been calculated. Using the rank correlation coefficient of Spearman, a relationship was established between the content of priority contaminants in soil and subsoil. On the basis of the correlation analysis, the choice of kerosene as a marker compound for soil and subsoil contamination of air-missile clusters is justified. A piezo sensor was developed for the rapid analysis of kerosene in soil and subsoils in "on-site" mode without sampling and sample preparation. Optimization of ecological monitoring of soils and subsoil with the application of a test method for determining kerosene in the territories of aviation-missile clusters is proposed.

Abstract

A brief review of the ecological state of artificial water bodies is presented on the example of the Voronezh and Matyr reservoirs located in the basin of the river. Voronezh. Ecological-geochemical interrelation of water areas of reservoirs and adjacent territories with anthropogenic sources of pollution located on them is shown. The basis of the research is the bioindication method for the communities of phytoplankton and microphytobenthos. Changes in the sanitary and biological quality of the waters have been studied in the reservoirs, which are related, in particular, to the effect of anomalously high summer air temperatures in 2010–2012 and in subsequent years, and for the Matyr reservoir against this background, an estimate of the effectiveness of the use of algobiotechnology is given.

Abstract

In this article examines the interrelation between the processes of industrialization and urbanization in terms of their impact on the quality of life in cities. The modern city is largely the result of the accelerated development of industry in the XIX - early XX centuries, however, the transition to the postindustrial phase of the development of society, which begins in the second half of the XX century, leads to deindustrialization of urban development. One of the trends of modern urban planning is the reconstruction of industrial zones which is carried out in the form of their adaptive reuse, which avoids many of the costs associated with their radical restructuring, although such a path is not always possible. According to opinions of the authors, the appeal to the idea of adaptive reuse becomes one of the means of revitalizing the urban landscape and, as a result, urban life.
