Analysis of Professional Activities of Rolling Mills Operators from a Perspective of Human Ecology

Abstract

Work objective is comparative analysis of rolling mills operators’ occupational burden, its influence on state of mental tonicity and health. Tonicity is considered as factor of operator’s adaptation to three main constituents of occupational environment (procedural, cognitive and social-psychological). Trends of modernization in metallurgy are refusal from blooming mills and transition to continuous casting plants with succeeding cogging. Target of research is mental tonicity of rolling mills (blooming) operators “1250” and “1150” as well as median section mills “450”. In studies of activities of blooming operators used analysis of logical complexity of algorithm, data on quantity of regulating actions, obtained from electron oscillograph. For definition of mental tonicity used psychological and psychophysiological methods. There was pointed out, that under transition to continuous casting decreasing of locomotor activity yet not lead to decreasing of mental tonicity and psychophysiological “price” of operators activities.
