Special Aspects of Spent Engine Oils from Nonselective Collection.

Abstract

There were considered matters of collection and recovery of spent engine oils. There was demonstrated, that significant part of spent oils is collected non selective, and inconsistent with functional GOST “Mixture of spent oil products”. There was offered method of spent oils treatment, which consists in extractive distillation of spent oils from non-selective collection in the media of petroleum solvent with subsequent treatment of bottom liquids by calcium oxide and urea and its solidification. There was demonstrated, that given method allows extract liquid hydrocarbons with high content of aromatic compounds, and obtained solid product of forth class hazard is fit for road building or landfilling.
