Abstract

There were investigated processes of blast furnace’s slags wasteless processing under conditions of reducing smelting of titanomagnetite and titanium silicate concentrates from Yarega deposit, allowing eliminate import dependence of Russian titanium industry from ilmenite raw materials. There was carried out design of enterprise for treatment of 480 thousand tons of blast furnace’s slags per annum. Experiments showed that from blast furnace’s slags besides titanium concentrate could be receive secondary products like calcium nitrate, fluid glass and sludges based on Al(OH)3 and Mg(OH)2, and fromtitanium silicate concentrate – powders of silicium carbide and amorphous silica.
