Abstract

It is known that widespread development in Russia production lines for used tires recovery, which contained steel wire cord, restrained because of weak profitability and competitive power. One of way of solution of this problem will be creation of effective domestic equipment, designed for treatment of such tires, on the all stages of flow process. In the majority of known technological lines on mechanical shredding used tires are applied their preliminary cutting on single sections with the aid of different cutters. There was studied cutting process for sidewall and wire bead rings from used tires with the aid ring circumferential knives. There was described methodology of shearing strength calculation, as well as experimental and computed data for cutting process of sidewall and bead rings. Methodology of calculation and received values for shearing strength could be use at design of industrial articles of equipment similar destination.
