Abstract
It is considered the possibility of using mining waste in the form of ultramafic rocks (dunites and wehrlites) as an additive in manufacture of building ceramics. The materials obtained are shown to have good physical and mechanical properties. The addition of fine fractions of dunite and wehrlite into the mixture enables to reduce the firing temperature of ceramic materials. Using plastic molding of bricks at 11000C and with amount of additives up to 50%, the samples meet requirements of GOST. It is confirmed the possibility of manufacturing facing ceramic bricks and facade ceramics of high quality and low cost when using mining wastes
