Abstract
In the article, the environmental efficiency of the system approach to the environmental policy implementation has been illustrated by the example of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM. The system approach has proved to be the main feature of the environmental policy of the State Corporation. ROSATOM’s system approach consists of four principles: planning, implementation, reporting, and monitoring and continuous improvement of the State Corporation’s environmental performance, based on these principles. The environmental effectiveness of the system approach to the environmental policy of the Corporation has been shown based on the specific indicators of harmful substances emission, discharges to water bodies and waste generation abatement, as well as on the indicators of the effectiveness of the liquidation of hazardous nuclear facilities and rehabilitation of radiation contaminated territories.
